Reading: Colossians 2:1-17
Key Verse: Colossians 2:6-7
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
We often think of the gospel as for the unsaved, “those out there”. But the gospel is really for us all. The gospel is not just about setting us right with God (justification) but also about being made continually more into Christ’s likeness (sanctification).
A: Provision of the Gospel – God’s gift
B: Primary Purpose in the Gospel – saved to become like Jesus
- Tools that God uses
- Word – living active word
- Holy Spirit
