Advent: God’s promises fulfilled

Rosskeen Free Church Sermons

Reading: Luke 67-80
Key Verse:
Both the gospels of Matthew and Luke include the birth narrative and genealogies reminding us that God came to earth in fulfillment of promise made in the garden of Eden and renewed to Abraham and King David. God came because man rebelled against him, when he believed the lies of Satan instead of trusting God, but he did not leave mankind to there fate but came to rescue and save them from judgement.

Zechariah picks up the same themes in his song of exhalation. This baby is King of Glory in human flesh. (NIVUK)
