Gotta Serve Somebody

crown-of-thorns-web

Reading: Isaiah 5:1-7 and Mark 11:27-12:12

God’s goodness should be enough to draw us, but he has also given us his grace. He is coming someday in glory.
God is offering us a new heart, a living hope, an alternative to eternal damnation. The Pharisees had made their decision they certainly where not going to serve Jesus. We need to make to decision to follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour or face Jesus as Lord and Judge – the decision is yours.

“You may be an ambassador to England or France
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls.

But you’re gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
You’re gonna have to serve somebody,
It may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody.”
(“Gotta Serve Somebody” by Bob Dylan)
