Judges 2:1-3 – UK (NIVUK)
1 The angel of the Lord went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, ‘I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your ancestors. I said, “I will never break my covenant with you, 2 and you shall not make a covenant with the people of this land, but you shall break down their altars.” Yet you have disobeyed me. Why have you done this? 3 And I have also said, “I will not drive them out before you; they will become traps for you, and their gods will become snares to you.”’
Judges 2:18-19 – UK (NIVUK)
18 Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived; for the Lord relented because of their groaning under those who oppressed and afflicted them. 19 But when the judge died, the people returned to ways even more corrupt than those of their ancestors, following other gods and serving and worshipping them. They refused to give up their evil practices and stubborn ways.

Key Verse: John 6:27-29
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.” Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
Literally thousands of people could be called upon to verify that what all four gospel writers recorded was accurate.
This miracle was a gospel sign which pointed, like the previous Old Testament signs, to Jesus. In this instance Jesus being the very substance of life that would provide real eternal satisfaction to the deep desires of our hearts. But we could only experience this if Jesus was to be our substitute and die for our sins instead of us dying, like the Passover lamb died in place of the eldest child in Egypt.
A: Jesus is God’s provision for the world
B: Jesus is the bread that satisfies
C: Jesus is God’s way
